Biography

I enjoy helping people feel fantastic in their bodies and to enjoy the things they love doing. I have been fortunate to study with such gifted teachers as Dr. Barbara Brennan, Dr. Don St. John, Joseph Heller, Jude Waller, Donna Bajelis and others. My hands have been described by clients as "warm and listening". My vision is to help people heal and live a fabulous life.

I use both light and deep myofascial release, deep tissue massage, neuromuscular re-education, movement education (based upon principals shared with Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates), lymphatic drainage and Hellerwork Structural Integration to treat many acute and chronic conditions. Conditions such as: carpal tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, low/mid/upper back pain, whiplash, shoulder pain/tension, poor posture, strains/sprains, hip pain, "getting too old, too fast syndrome", plantar fasciitis/fasciosis, difficult breathing and surgery recovery. I am also available for consultation on effective stretching techniques and supportive body movements in the home or workplace. My sensitivity and knowledgeable hands work with the wisdom of each person's body for a fuller, easier and more pleasurable life.

I grew up in Eastern Washington, lived in Seattle for 20 years and have recently moved to Winthrop, WA to be closer to nature. In my free time I enjoy hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, making sauerkraut, practicing tai chi, tending chickens and gardening with my wife Sharon and our dog Zola.

“Quality of life starts with feeling connected in your body." - Jason Rumohr

"During a time of injury, I turned to Jason Rumohr for relief from the pain. Not only did I experience less pain, my entire body realigned, which allowed me to function more efficiently; colleagues even commented on my structure looking more relaxed and symmetrical. I need my instrument to function properly as a dancer, and the deep and deliberate body work Jason does helped me on every level."
