New Service: Neurovascular Release

In short, Neurovascular Release is a bodywork system to release stuck tension from nerves and blood vessels. It’s based upon osteopathic methods and is very gentle and effective.

When the body experiences injury or trauma (physical, mental or emotional), the nervous system first aims to protect the central nervous system (your brain and spinal cord) and the blood vessel system. Since damage to either nerves or blood vessels has the potential to be life threatening, the protection manifests as causing your muscles to tighten up, as a bracing effect. The run-of-the-mill fall or bicycle crash might not actually be life threatening, but your body doesn’t necessarily know that. So it recruits muscular tension, some of which can hang around for years or even decades. Neurovascular Release targets the key nerves and vessels that are responsible for this muscular bracing.

A few of the possible benefits include:

  • Pain relief
  • Improved circulation
  • Greater flexibility and ease
  • Deeper and easier breathing
  • Greater relaxation and stress relief

I’ve noticed consistently, most clients notice an obvious improvement in their freedom of motion in their neck, after experiencing just one single release technique.

Teaching You to Fish

In an online bodywork session, I’ll teach you where and how to place your hands and how to breathe to trigger the release. I’ll carefully watch and listen to your body’s responses to the work to guide you for the best results. In a Neurovascular Release session, you not only gain direct benefit during the session, you’ll leave with practical tools on how to continue the healing.
