About

Hi, I'm Jason.

I’m a Licensed Massage Therapist, Certified Hellerwork Practitioner, and movement educator. In other words, I help people feel good in their bodies so they can enjoy the things they love doing.

I believe our musculoskeletal health is deeply connected to the health of our nerves, blood vessels, and internal organs, which is why I also use techniques based on Visceral Manipulation, Neurovascular Release, and neuromuscular re-education.

I’ve also been a student of Tai Chi and Qi Gong for over 10 years. Rather than striving for perfection, I use these practices to strengthen my connection to my body and the ground. I like to teach others to do the same.

I grew up in Eastern Washington and lived in Seattle for 20 years before returning to the mountains where I feel most at home. In my free time I enjoy hiking, backpacking, cross country skiing, making sauerkraut, and gardening with my wife, Sharon.

My philosophy

Sometimes we need external support to give us relief from our daily aches and pains. My bodywork sessions are intended for just that, but I’m not always going to be there to work out the kinks. That’s why I also enjoy teaching simple things you can do to feel better—wherever you are. I guess you could say, I like to teach folks how to fish.
